Yes, as the days get longer and we see more of the sunshine, thoughts turn to summer holidays. With the euro and the pound reaching parity, holidaying in the eurozone is now over a third more expensive than this time 18 months ago, so many of us are looking at holidaying in the UK.

Now, it’s true you may not get the blazing sunshine of southern Spain or the beautiful scenery of Italy, but the UK has got some great places to visit and if you want an activity-based break, Cornwall really can’t be beaten - stunning coastline and loads of watersports. The centre is in Bude and is renowned for it’s friendly atmosphere and great teaching staff. Arriving on a Friday night and leaving on Sunday, you will have enough time to have a go at four different activities of your choice from surfing, windsurfing, kayaking/Canadian canoeing, climbing/abseiling and coastal discovery/coasteering.

All meals from Saturday breakfast through to lunch on Sunday are provided and the weekend package includes all equipment and tuition. There is a variety of accommodation available at the lodge, with dorms, single and double rooms on offer, some of which are en suite and many have sea views. There are no single supplements either. All you need to bring along is your enthusiasm and swim gear!
