Dear Santa - we've been very good this year, so please can we have lots of funtastic activity gift vouchers from Christmas please? Thank you

Dear Santa - we've been very good this year, so please can we have lots of funtastic activity gift vouchers from Christmas please?

Living in the middle of nowhere, we use the t’internet (as Peter Kay would say!) for everything from checking our poorly-looking bank accounts and ordering the groceries, to buying our Christmas pressies.

The internet is indeed great - we listen to the radio, browse online and then buy without once having to make the dreaded journey into town and battle out way through the crowds.

And if you thought activity gift voucher companies like Into the Blue only offer high-adrenaline speed junky type thrills, you’re wrong! Of course, there are plenty of high thrills in the flying and driving sections of the website, but there are some more unusual experiences to choose from too.

If you’re looking for a pressie for someone who’s quite a creative person, how about glass blowing in London or even  a voucher to learn how to make your own jewellery? Everyone needs to relax at some point too and there is a good range of spa days and beauty treatments on the website all designed to help them chill out and feel good about themselves.

If the way to their heart is through their stomach, tempt them with cookery lessons, chocolate making workshops or a very special steam train dinner experience - guaranteed to be a tasty treat they’ll love.

Spend a day with Farmer Charlie and his lovely herd of Fresian cows

Spend a day with Farmer Charlie and his lovely herd of Fresian cows

We’re keen to make more of the great outdoors, so we’ve been browsing the Outdoor Adventure section which is packed full of fun things to try like falconry, fly fishing and wildlife watching. We absolutely love cows, so the ‘Be a farmer for a day’ experience joining Farmer Charlie and his herd of dairy cows is right up our street…or should that be right up our muddy farm track?!

All we need to do now is get earning those pennies to pay for all these fabulous Christmas activity gifts we want to buy!

See all the sights of central London on a Thames Christmas Luncheon Cruise

See all the sights of central London on a Thames Christmas Luncheon Cruise

If you’re looking for something a little different for a Christmas outing this year, how about booking a Thames River Dining Cruise? Combining London sightseeing on the River Thames with a freshly prepared gourmet meal, these cruises offer a rather unique way to celebrate Christmas.

Although we offer these dinner and lunch cruises all year round, during December we offer a special Christmas lunchtime cruise that sets sail from Embankment at 12:00 and returns at 15:00, with live music onboard to accompany your cruise.

As well as gliding past sights such as the Houses of Parliament, Somerset House, the London Eye, Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast, you’ll tuck into a superb Christmas meal with smoked salmon starter, traditional roast turkey main course and rounded off with a yummy crumble, coffee and chocolates.

Of course, places are strictly limited, so give our sales team a call on 01959 578100 to see if we can organise your Christmas do, be it amongst colleagues, friends or family.

Don’t forget, we offer Thames lunch, Sunday lunch and dinner cruises all year round including Valentine’s Day, so there’s a Thames cruise for every occasion!

Just when you think the days are getting longer…

It won't be long until this fella will be paying you a visit!

It won't be long until this fella will be paying you a visit!

So, there we were enjoying a nice Mini Milk in the sunshine the other day as a precursor to our fortnight in Toss de Mar, when we realised that with the passing of the longest day on the 21st June, the nights are techincally getting longer and we’re hurtling towards winter!

Oh yes, we’re now more than halfway through the year, which means it’s less than six months to Christmas - and we haven’t even had our summer hols yet!

Here at Into the Blue we’re working hard to secure some great offers on our products in the run up to Christmas and we’ll be telling you all about them as the go live on this very blog.

In the meantime, have a look at our ever-expanding portfolio of activity gifts all of which are available by personalised gift voucher. We’ve got over 500 to choose from, so we reckon you’ll find a present for even the most awkward person to buy for. And if you can’t guess what activity they’d like to do, you can always plump for a activity gift token for a monetary amount of your choice so they can choose the activity themselves.

As every year, we’ll be beavering away all winter, like the good little Into the Blue elves we are, to make sure your orders are dispatched and delivered in time for Christmas Day, so all you need to do is pick up the ‘phone and give us a call to make your order, or buy direct online through the website.
